West Seneca East High School will host a fundraiser - East Fest - on Friday, June 8 to help make wishes come true.

All proceeds from $3 ticket donations, as well as other activities at the festival, will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The school aims to raise at least $3,500, which is the cost to send a “wish family” of four to DisneyWorld.

East Fest, which will take place from 2 to 6 p.m., is an outdoor festival on the East Senior football field that will feature music, activities and games. Tickets include live music, KanJam and Capture the Flag competitions and face painting. Refreshments, a dunk tank, karaoke and a basket auction will be offered as well.

The event will be held rain or shine, but will be canceled in case of extreme weather conditions (thunderstorms). East Fest is open to the public.

West Seneca East High School is located at 4760 Seneca St., West Seneca.

This second annual East Fest is sponsored by the school’s Trojan Nation club, with support from the Key Club, Science Honor Society, National Honor Society, Peer Counseling and DECA.  Last year’s East Fest raised $3,400 for a student and recent graduate battling leukemia.

Tickets can be purchased at the event. For information, contact Kerri Krueger (677-3300, ext. 4178 or kkrueger@wscschools.org) or Nadine Ocasio (677-3300, ext. 4200 or nocasio@wscschools.org).
