CHEEKTOWAGA, NY-- A reward is now being offered in the search for the suspects in last week's robbery attempt at the IHOP in cheektowaga.

Two armed men tried to hold up the restaurant located on Walden Avenue on December 2.

Several people were inside at the time and where all taken to a back room where the safe was held.

A quick thinking employee managed to lock the suspects out of the room after they went to check on an alarm.

The pair then took off before police arrived.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1:

  • Black male Early 20's to early 30's
  • 5'6" to 5'8" Stocky build
  • Light mustache or goatee
  • Braided black hair
  • He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Suspect #2:

  • Lighter skinned black male
  • In his 20's
  • 6'0" to 6'2",  Slim build
  • He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and green gloves. His face was covered with a green, black, and tan plaid winter scarf

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 867-6161. You could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the suspects arrests.
