Cheektowaga Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident | News

CHEEKTOWAGA, NY - A 54-year-old man was killed after being hit by an SUV on Union Road Monday morning.

Cheektowaga Police say that accident happened around 1:30am on Union Road at George Urban Boulevard.

Investigators say the victim, Robert Kowalewski, made it past the first lane of traffic, but was hit while crossing into the second lane.

So far no charges have been filed against the driver.

Kowalewski's was the father of a 27 year old who fatally shot outside of a bar six years ago by a man who attempted to rob him.
