Make a Difference Day; Saturday Oct. 22nd
News

Buffalo, N.Y. - Want to have fun and help out your community? Saturday is the perfect day to do it!

Saturday, October 22nd is Make a Difference Day across the U.S. and here in Western New York. It's nation's largest day of volunteering. More than 3 million people across the country will be out lending a hand in their communities. Since 1992, hundreds of millions of Americans have been helped by Make A Difference Day volunteers. It's now a movement.

There are dozens of events planned across New York State.  A local teenager will be hosting his 7th annual Make A Difference Day Express train ride on the historic Arcade and Attica railroad. He's a train lover who shares his passion every year with underprivileged kids, by collecting cans and other returnable's and turning the cash into train rides.

And, at the Buffalo Zoo, volunteers from Delta Sigma Pi will be running hayrides and organizing a parade.
