The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is taking initiatives to make WNY homes more energy efficient this winter.
By offering up a contractor in WNY to do a walk through at local homes, or to walk through their pretend home at a training center, NYSERDA looks to offer tips on how to winterize your home to save the environment and your wallet.

NYSERDA is a public benefit corporation created in 1975 primarily as a research and development center whose main aim was to reduce the State’s petroleum consumption. Today, NYSERDA’s aim is to help New York meet its energy goals: reducing energy consumption, promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and protecting the environment.
