Fashion design has opened doors for Cheektowaga Central High School students Ephezon Bell and Taylor Wilson, aspiring clothes designers.

Ephezon and Taylor will exhibit their designs along with 9 other students representing a total of eight local school districts at the “Limitless” fashion show. Students of the Erie 1 BOCES Fashion Design and Merchandising program will be modeling their creations on March 10 at Walden Galleria.

Through classes offered at Erie 1 BOCES, students learned how to empower their passion for clothing design using techniques that will help them follow through with their dreams of studying fashion design and merchandising.

Ephezon has been working on urban streetwear designs, claiming his inspiration reflects the, “edgy but relaxed style of the New York and Los Angeles streets.” His hope is to start his own business in fashion and find a business partner to work with him while in college.

AT&Tcelebrates acclaimed actress, writer and activist Ruby Dee along with past and current black trailblazers with this year’s AT&T 28 Days throughout the month of February. The program spotlights pivotal figures and moments during Black History Month.

AT&T 28 Days will honor those whose achievements uplift the community – from popular artists and ambassadors, to college presidents and business leaders.

Dee began her career as an employee for an AT&T legacy company in 1943. She spent her days soldering wires on an assembly line at and repairing panels during WWII. Over the years, she turned to her passions: acting and activism. Her story serves as an inspiration to many.
