Pink Flamingo Project Takes Aim at Vacant and Abandoned Buildings

Pink Flamingo Project Takes Aim at Vacant and Abandoned Buildings

Earlier in the year, I came up with the idea to visually tag vacant and abandoned buildings in the neighborhood with some sort of theme drawing inspiration from what a group called Buffalo’s Young Preservationist were doing with “Heart Bombs” in other parts of Buffalo. The problem with vacant buildings isn’t something that is going to go away anytime soon. After awhile, they start to blend in with the surroundings and it is human nature to stop noticing them. I had a few ideas as to what to use a theme, but none seemed to strike the right chord with me.

Then a BFA friend sent me this.

Your four-footed friends could benefit from your taking four important steps to keep your pets in peak condition.

1. See the vet for regular checkups. Dogs and cats age faster than humans. They can grow up — and grow old — almost before you know it. Regular wellness exams let your veterinarian diagnose, manage and protect against potential health problems before they become serious.
